Programme description
With the increasing public awareness of energy and environmental pollution problems, there is an emerging demand in Hong Kong for professionals specializing in energy and environmental technology management. Environmental performance and measures are important components of modern management practice.
The Master of Engineering in Energy and Environmental Technology Management (MEEETM) is specifically designed to meet the market demand for energy-saving technology and environmental management. The programme also covers cleaner production and pollution prevention in a market-based economy.
Programme requirements
Programme-specific entry requirements: To enrol for the Master of Engineering in Energy and Environmental Technology Management, students should have: • a recognized Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline; or • Postgraduate Certificate in Environmental Studies (PCES) offered by the OUHK. |
This programme is designed to enable engineers and other technical professionals to take a leadership role in the field of energy management and environmental technology. It is also suitable for engineering or science students and provides training in energy and environmental audits, and sustainable development in an industrial context. It will cover a variety of procedures and practices that are used to minimize the negative environmental impact of industrial processes and products.
